CW22 Host Casting Call Rules
The following official rules apply to the conduct of the CW22 Host Casting Call.
No purchase necessary.
1. Entry Deadline: The contest starts on January 19, 2012 and all requested information must be received by WLFL, INC. dba WLFL-TV CW22 (the “Station”) by 5:00 p.m. on February 17, 2012.
2. Eligibility: To be eligible to participate in this contest, entrants must be U.S. residents who reside in the WLFL viewing area, are 18 years of age or older, have a high school degree, no felony convictions, clean driving record, reliable references, and if chosen to be a finalist must pass a drug test and background check.
Employees of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., WLFL, Inc. (“Company”) and any other company which owns, programs or provides other services to television broadcast station WLFL (the “Station”), Peace College, their affiliated companies, advertising and promotion agencies, any and all local television broadcast and cable stations, local radio and other media companies, and the immediate family members of each are ineligible. The term “immediate families” includes spouses, grandparents, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren.
Entrants must not be a member if SAG, AFTRA or any other union, or presently under contract with another media company, talent agency, or represented by any talent agency.
Entrants must not be or become candidates for public office or involved in any other type of political campaign.
3. How to Enter:
a) Limit of one entry per person. To enter go to CW22’s website http://www.raleighcw.com/ and download the entry/release form. Please mail or hand deliver a one minute pitch on DVD about yourself and why you should be part of the 22crew, your entry/release forms, at least one photograph of yourself, and a copy of your Drivers License to the Station (3012 HIghwoods Blvd. Suite 101, Raleigh NC, 27604. Attention 22 crew search. All entries must be postmarked by February 17, 2012
b) Complete the entry/release form, and record a one minute pitch on why you should be part a of the 22crew along with at least one photograph of yourself and, a copy of a valid state driver’s license. Polaroid pictures are acceptable provided the entrant is clearly visible. Distasteful and/or nude photographs will not be accepted and may result in the entrant being disqualified.
c) All entries including photographs, video and any other recorded material submitted by entrants in connection with this cast call will be retained by the Station and become the property of Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc. and the Station and will not be acknowledged or returned. Any expenses incurred by entrants during the application process are the sole responsibility of the entrant. All decisions of the Station and judges are final and absolute and shall not be subject to inquiry or appeal.
4. Judging of Entries:
a) Contestants entries will be reviewed by the Station’s staff, who at that time will narrow the contestants to up to five (5) finalists based on those with the best qualifications. Finalists must be available for further interviews by Station personnel. The exact date of such interviews will be determined by the Station in its sole discretion and may be subject to change.
b) On or about March 5, 2012 the five finalists will be notified by phone. If a finalist cannot be reached by phone or mail within five (5) days from the first notification attempt, then such finalist will be disqualified and the next likely contestant will be chosen in his/her stead. Based on successfully completing a background check (including but not limited to credit, criminal, and driving) and a drug test.
c) One (1) winner may be selected by the Station in its sole and absolute discretion based on qualifications and background check, and will be notified by phone on or before March 23rd, 2012. If the winner forfeits the opportunity, the Station may, in its sole and absolute discretion consider another finalist as the winner. The decision of the Station is final.
d) Once the winner is chosen, he/she will be offered the opportunity to be the CW22 Host subject to the conditions set forth in Section 5 of these rules.
5. Duties and Conditions of the CW 22 Host Part-Time Position
Employment with Company. Upon the terms and subject to the Station’s regular hiring processes, including receiving results of a satisfactory complete background check and pre-employment drug screening, the winner may be offered employment by WLFL, Inc. (the “Company”) which owns or programs the Station, on a part-time basis as “CW22 Host.”
a) to perform services for the Company as “CW22 Host” and to perform such duties and assignments, including, without limitation, public relations activities connected with promoting the Station/Company and himself/herself as a personality identified with the Station/Company as are directed by the Company in its sole and absolute discretion; and
b) that the winner will render the above described services exclusively for Company and will not render any such services to any person or entity other than Company without the prior written approval of the General Manager of the Station, which approval may be withheld in their sole and absolute discretion. Winner will not authorize or permit the use of winner’s name, voice and/or likeness in connection with any activity, except as specifically authorized in writing by the General Manager of the Station.
c) to sign Company’s standard on-air talent non-competition agreement, which shall include an agreement not to compete within the Raleigh-Durham designated market area (“DMA”) covering a period of six (6) months following the termination of employment for any reason.
d) that their employment with Company will be at will and that nothing contained herein shall be construed to be a contract of employment.

b) All eligible contestants acknowledge that the Station has the right to publicize your name, character, likeness, photograph, and voice for promotional purposes without financial remuneration.
c) This contest is subject to all applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc., Sinclair Television Group, Inc., WLFL, Inc. accept no responsibility or liability in connection with any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from the contest or the acceptance, possession or use of any prize awarded hereunder.
e).Station cannot be held liable for any lost or stolen entries or information
f) Station reserve the right to make rules and contest changes and change the aforementioned contest dates.
